Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) was formerly known as Nagpur University Library before the implementation of Maharashtra Public University Act 2016. This Knowledge Resource Centre was established along with the establishment of the University in the year 1923 in order to cater to the academic and research needs of the faculty and students. Since then, the Knowledge Resource Centre has gone from strength to strength to live-up to the expectations of its immediate clientele. Dr.V.B. Alias Bhausaheb Kolte Knowledge Resource Centre is on North Ambazari Road, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur- 440010 and our branch library known as Knowledge Resource Centre, University Campus at Mahatma Jyotiba Fuley Shaikshanik Parisar on Amravati Road. In addition to this 30 departmental libraries are also functioning at various departments which are developed and monitored by the main Knowledge Resource Centre. The knowledge Resource Centre of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University since its inception in the year 1923, has rooted and evolved to become a well recognized academic library. It serves many people and many purposes and strives to support the teaching, learning and research needs of its diverse types of patrons which include current and past students and teachers of University departments and affiliated colleges among others. Research scholars from other universities across the country also visit the K.R.C. regularly for the pursuance of their research. The K.R.C. has been taking best possible steps to meet the ever changing learning environment and needs of its users. Hundreds of students extensively use the reading room facility which remains open 24X7 throughout the year. In addition to this to cope with the latest developments the KRC has 4 well equipped computer labs with more than 100 terminals to enable the users to access the e – resources. The university KRC provides a wide range of services and collections to support the teaching, learning and research activities. It has rich collections of more than four lakh reading materials which include books, theses, manuscripts and other reading materials covering a wide range of subjects.
