Society for the Care of the Blind is an NGO, which is Govt. aided. Adviser to U.T. Administrator is Ex-officio President of the Society. Society was registered on 5th May 1972 vide registration no. 121. It is running Institute for the Blind in Sector 26 Chandigarh which is school for visually handicapped children from Class 1 to Class XII. It is affiliated to CBSE.
