Snehankit Helpline For The Visually Impaired(SHVI) is a non- government organization working towards empowering the visually impaired youth especially the students. Founded on 21st August 2001, by Ms. Parimala Bhat. Its main objective is to provide a variety of services to assist visually impaired students in their education and all round development, enabling them to lead successful careers and lives. One of the major projects of the Snehankit Helpline For The Visually Impaired(SHVI) is Audio Book Project. Audio books are made in various languages Marathi, Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Pali with the support from our volunteers. We also have Braille Transcription Project in which we transcribe books in braille of 10th, 11th, and 12th standard as per the requirement.
