Goalpara College library is a heart of the Goalpara College, affiliated to Gauhati University. Goalpara College was established in the year of 1955. Goalpara College library is fully automated with Integrated Library Management Software (ILMS) SOUL 3.0 software from INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat . Also, library is using D Space Content Management Digital Library software for digitization of documents. Using this software library hasThe library also provides access to e-resources to the teachers and students of the college through N-LIST programme of INFLIBNET Centre. The library has also a UN/UNESCO Reading Library corner. For smooth functioning of Library and its activities, college constitutes a Library Management Committee. It has good collections of Text and Reference books, printed journals, Magazines, Newspapers, Back Volumes and other reading materials. At present, the library hold about 37,700+ printed books, subscription to 20 printed journals, 18 magazines, 10 newspapers( Daily & Weekly). Besides providing Issue-Return facility with Bar-coding system, the library also provides Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) to the users. Moreover, the college library provides reprographic facilities also. Users can also avail free internet service. Also, Wi-Fi facility is available in the library. The library also has a rich reference section.
